Available geography families

A family is a recurring kind of geographic reference system. Only the selected complete hierarchy is the administrative spine; postal, electoral, health, watershed, and other systems remain independently versioned sidechains connected to it.

Available

Administrative hierarchy

The selected country hierarchy for administrative identity and parent lookup; the catalog separately declares whether its polygon levels are clip-safe nested geometry or relationship-backed authority layers.

Examples: states, provinces, counties, municipalities, census units

Local download packages

Lite contains identities and crosswalks, Display adds simplified map geometry, and Detail adds the highest-resolution maintained geometry. A package appears as downloadable only after artifact and public-reachability QA passes.

Release QA

  • The official sparse hierarchy retains legitimate direct Land-to-Kreis and Kreis-to-Gemeinde paths.
  • All 10,939 official Gemeinde points close against existing identities and add no competing IDs.
  • Germany currently has no admitted sidechain, recorded by an explicit zero-sidechain alias receipt.
  • Berlin and Munich deepest-level point, hierarchy, identity, and geometry runtime cases pass.
