DaedalMap

The data behind the map

Data that keeps its place.

DaedalMap gives places durable identities, maintains their geometry, and connects records through those identities. Find the geography, subject data, live feeds, and network data that fit your work.

One place identity model

Connect records without flattening geography.

The administrative spine provides the main join path. Postal areas, watersheds, and other geometry families keep their own loc_ids; crosswalks record how those identities relate. Sources, releases, and coverage remain visible as data moves between them. Learn how place identities work.

Types of Data

Each type has its own sources and releases. Choose the catalog that matches the records or geography you need.

01 / Reference geography

Geometry

Browse the administrative spine, geometry families, aliases, and crosswalks. Country releases show their sources, coverage, and available geometry packages.

02 / Subject records

Data packs

Find maintained records for topics such as climate, disasters, health, and economies. Pack pages show their source, dates, fields, and geographic coverage.

03 / Incoming records

Live feeds

Follow source updates that DaedalMap collects on a schedule. Feeds connect recent records to places and the packs that preserve them.

04 / Connected features

Network data

Nodes and connections describe systems such as railways, rivers, power, and roads. Network packs are a separate content type used by the Network expansion.
