Research grants by place
Grant Tools helps find programs, check eligibility, review past awards, and prepare a shortlist and application materials. The GitHub repository includes the MCP server, data pipeline, and announcement collectors.
What it is built for
It was built for disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, community resilience, and climate adaptation work. Its curated program catalogs, which the shortlist ranks, center on that: 87 of 127 US programs and 41 of 48 Canadian programs. The catalogs also carry economic development, humanitarian and international development, infrastructure, housing, energy, transportation, workforce, research, and research software programs.
The award history and opportunity data underneath cover all US and Canadian federal programs. A project outside the focus areas still runs, with a shorter shortlist, and new programs can be added through the repository's program import pipeline.
Grant data downloads
Download the country you need. These research snapshots are separate from DaedalMap map data and geometry packs. Release size, time coverage, sources, and checksum appear before the download starts. Check the original grant source for current opportunity status before applying.
USA grant data
USAspending, NSF, NIH, Grants.gov, and California opportunities and awards.

Run it yourself
Clone the repository and connect its local server to an MCP client. Download a USA or Canada bundle above, or use the included pipeline to build data from upstream sources. The GitHub quickstart has the setup commands.
Run the ARC, California, Canada, and US State Department announcement collectors when you want fresh leads, or schedule the sources you choose. Place-name lookups use DaedalMap's hosted geometry tools by default; you can also provide a loc_id.
